Already 25 SPAR Express stores operate at AVIA petrol stations. Recently, branches have been opened in Dębica, Częstochowa, Lublin, Bełchatów, Makowiec (Mazowieckie Voivodeship) and Skorzów (Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, on the Kielce-Tarnów road, with a large parking for trucks), Jastrzębie-Zdrój, Zakopane, Józefów, Kobyłka, Dąbrowa Górnicza and Chełmek. All stores offer hot dishes, sandwiches, casseroles in the Eat&Go area and coffee in the Bean Tree Cafe area. They are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. More openings are planned all over Poland.

SPAR Express is a convenience format that meets the basic needs of customers. The relaxation zones in the shops are convenient places to eat, drink and rest. The branches are open 365 days a year.

“It is very important for us, that the SPAR Express format is developing so well in cooperation with AVIA petrol stations. We can see that both concepts fit together perfectly. That is why we are planning further openings and new locations. The retail market in Poland still has enormous potential – many independent retailers operate here and the concept of the SPAR network is perfect for their requirements. There is still room for introducing new formats and concepts, such as SPAR Express, TOP! or Bean Tree Cafe. We intend to continue the activities started and implemented for a year: network development and adding new branches, nationwide promotional and loyalty campaigns that build the recognition of the SPAR brand as well as support the sales of our retail partners and the introduction of new concepts. Our important goal is to increase the range and profitability with the maximum adjustment to the expectations of our retail partners. We will also continue to expand the assortment – also as part of our own brand SPAR, in the BIO and ECO segments and as part of fresh products, which are our competitive advantage” underlines Wayne Hodson, chairman of the SPAR network in Poland.

„Our cooperation with the SPAR network is a partnership that works. We have combined our strength and experience, which is appreciated by customers, which is why we are gradually opening new stores at AVIA stations. Already 25 percent. AVIA stations in Poland operate in the SPAR store format. At the same time, we are developing our original Eat & Go gastronomic concept at the stations, under which we offer customers a wide selection of hot and cold snacks. Our gastronomic offer perfectly complements the SPAR shop offer” – says Robert Nowek, managing director of AVIA in Poland and Ukraine, Unimot Group.
