Unimot Energia i Gaz, the company responsible in the Unimot Group for the RES segment under the AVIA Solar brand, has been selected as the contractor for photovoltaic installations for the DINO Polska chain. Unimot Energia i Gaz will design, supply and install PV systems on 120 DINO stores located throughout Poland. With the implementation of this project, the photovoltaic installations will reduce CO₂ emissions by more than 2.84 million kilograms annually – the amount that 1,267 passenger cars would emit in a year.
The project is part of DINO Polska's energy modernisation program, which aims to increase the energy self-sufficiency of retail facilities and reduce CO₂ emissions. The installations will cover a significant portion of the energy needs of the selected stores, especially in summer, which is the time of highest energy consumption.
Photovoltaic panels applied by the AVIA Solar brand are characterised by high efficiency, durability and weather resistance. Each system is designed to ensure safe operation and maximum energy efficiency.
Unimot Energia i Gaz has previously worked with the DINO Polska chain. In 2023, the company completed a 690 kWp photovoltaic installation on one of DINO's central warehouses. The system was built on its roof and consisted of 1,725 400-watt modules covering 3,400 square meters – an area equivalent to half a football pitch. Other major investments for the DINO network include three photovoltaic installations of 1,000 kWp each. Systems mounted on roofs with non-intrusive construction technology will allow the efficient use of more roof space.
