Unimot Group has published its results for Q1 2025.

29.05.2025

Unimot has released its financial and operating results for Q1 2025. During this period, the consolidated EBITDA adjusted (for the estimated valuation of obligatory liquid and gaseous fuel stocks, justified cost and revenue deferrals and one-time events) amounted to PLN 47 million, and the sales revenues amounted to PLN 3,480 million.

The Group's performance in the same period last year was respectively: PLN 47 million of consolidated adjusted EBITDA and PLN 3,009 million of sales revenues.

The first quarter was a time of intensive work that resulted in solid financial results, confirming the resilience of our business structure to external challenges and the effectiveness of implementation of the UNIMOT 2024-2028 Strategy, focused on business diversification, energy transformation, infrastructure expansion and responsible risk management. I can state with full responsibility that the activities undertaken by the UNIMOT Group in the past quarter form a coherent sequence of initiatives that are part of a long-term program to build a stable, responsible and future-oriented organization. We consistently allocate capital to strategic assets, support competence development and strengthen our presence in key markets”, said Adam Sikorski, CEO of Unimot S.A.

The adjusted EBITDA by strategic area was:

·        in the main areas of activity (bitumen, liquid fuels, LPG, solid fuels) – PLN 18.9 million

·        in logistics (infrastructure and logistics, fuel stations) – PLN 23.4 million

·        in the transition and transformation segments (natural gas, RES, electricity, RCEkoenergia) – PLN 4.9 million

In terms of operating results, in Q1 2025 the Unimot Group generated liquid fuel sales volume of 576 thousand cubic meters in 2025, LPG sales volume of 76 thousand tons, natural gas sales volume of 889 GWh and electricity sales volume of 435 GWh.

As part of strengthening our strategic position, in April 2025 the Unimot Group established the Board of Strategic Advisors – a consulting body consisting of recognized experts from the worlds of science, geopolitics, energy security and innovation. The Chairperson of Unimot's Supervisory Board, Andreas Golombek, was appointed chairperson of the Board of Strategic Advisors. It also includes dr Mark Brzezinski, prof. Jim Mazurkiewicz, prof. Boguslaw Pacek, prof. Karl Rose and Isaac Querub. The purpose of establishing the Board is to significantly expand the analytical competence of the Management Board, enabling it to better forecast risks and take advantage of global trends to the benefit of the entire Group.

In the area of investments in low-carbon energy sources, the Group has obtained a building permit for the first agricultural biogas plant in the history of the Group, which is to be constructed in Mdzewo, in the Mazowieckie Province.
The plant, with planned capacity of up to 3 MWel, will be able to produce up to 4 million m³ of biomethane per year.

Another significant step on Unimot Group's decarbonization path was the first delivery of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to Poland, carried out by UNIMOT Aviation at the Katowice Airport.
This pioneering project is in line with EU environmental regulations and confirms Group's readiness to provide cutting-edge solutions to aviation customers.

The Unimot Group also recognizes the key role of the CCUS (Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage) technology in the pursuit of climate neutrality, and therefore joined the CCUS Poland Association.
As the owner of fuel terminals in Gdańsk and Szczecin, as well as a rail logistics operator (Olavion), the Unimot Group sees CO₂ logistics as a potentially important development trend.

The first quarter also saw the beginning of Unimot Group's entry into the natural gas production segment. After receiving a positive decision from the Ministry of Climate and Environment, Unimot B1 (ultimately: Unimot Exploration and Production) began project activity. The project's budget is within the strategy allocation of PLN 700 million for transformational projects until 2028.

In April 2025, the Management Board of Unimot decided to recommend to the Annual General Meeting that a dividend be paid to shareholders, in the amount of PLN 6 per share. At the meeting on 15 April 2025, the Supervisory Board of Unimot granted the Management Board's request in this regard. The General Meeting of Shareholders, which will make the final decision on the amount of the dividend, will be held on 9 June 2025.
