The Polish Business Club was officially inaugurated at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Berlin as a new platform for cooperation among Polish entrepreneurs operating in the German market. During the event, Adam Sikorski, CEO of Unimot, the largest independent Polish multi-energy group, was appointed Vice Chairman of the Club’s Program Council.
The Polish Business Club was established in response to the growing presence of Polish companies in Germany and the need for an institutional platform to support their expansion in this market. Its mission is to create a space for sharing experience, building business relationships, and strengthening the representation of Polish companies within the German business community.
“Germany is Poland’s strategic trading partner. Mutual investment and integrated supply chains form a lasting foundation for the competitiveness of both economies. In this context, the Polish Business Club at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Berlin aims to support the expansion of Polish companies, integrate the business community, and provide Polish entrepreneurs with stronger representation in the German market,” says Adam Sikorski, CEO of Unimot.
The presence of Unimot within the Club’s structure reflects the Group’s long-term commitment to the German market. Germany is one of the company’s key sales markets and an important supplier base. The Group operates in Germany in the renewable energy sector and recently strengthened its rail transport capabilities through the acquisition, via its subsidiary Olavion, of a majority stake in the German company RBP. Unimot also operates a terminal in Wilhelmshaven, leased in 2024, which serves as an important logistics hub for the Group.
“As UNIMOT, we have been consistently building relationships with our business partners in Germany for many years. I believe that Polish-German cooperation is one of the key pillars of development in Central and Eastern Europe, and that both Unimot and other Polish companies play an important role in strengthening it,” adds Adam Sikorski.
Adam Sikorski has been co-creating the Unimot Group since 1992. In 2012, he became Chairman of the Supervisory Board and principal shareholder of PZL Sędziszów, where he also served as CEO between 2015 and 2018. Since 2018, he has served as CEO of Unimot S.A.
He graduated in International Economic Relations from the Polonia Academy in Częstochowa. He also completed an Executive MBA and the EDBA programme at the Institute of Economic Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences. In 2023, he earned a PhD in social sciences in the field of management and quality sciences from the Częstochowa University of Technology.
