Current Report No. 3/2025
Date: 17.03.2025 08:30
The Management Board of UNIMOT S.A., with its registered office in Zawadzkie (the ‘Issuer’), announces its decision to commence a project whose ultimate goal is to expand the scope of the UNIMOT Group's operations to include natural gas extraction.
The Issuer's Management Board's decision was preceded by a series of actions, including one of the companies from the Issuer's Group obtaining a positive assessment from the Minister of Climate and Environment in a qualification procedure aimed at assessing the company's ability to conduct activities involving the exploration and appraisal of hydrocarbon deposits and the extraction of hydrocarbons.
In connection with the above-mentioned objective, the UNIMOT Group will commence activities and secure organisational resources aimed at conducting analyses regarding the acquisition of access to its own natural gas deposits both in Poland and abroad, including the consideration of options such as: entering into joint ventures with other entities or acquiring minority interests in existing upstream projects in Poland or abroad, as well as developing depleted deposits, also in the context of launching gas or carbon dioxide storage facilities.
The Issuer's Group will also analyse the possibility of obtaining funds and grants that can be used to finance individual project tasks.
Simultaneously, the Issuer informs that at this stage, it is unable to determine the necessary capital expenditure related to the planned expansion of the UNIMOT Group's operations; however, considering the scale and nature of the project, it may reach a significant value.
The undertaken actions are aimed at diversifying future sources of revenue and are in line with the strategy of building the UNIMOT Group's offer throughout the entire supply chain. The Issuer will provide information on significant subsequent stages of the project in separate current reports.
The issuer deemed the above information confidential due to the future financial, market, and economic consequences of the project's implementation related to the expansion of the UNIMOT Group's activities to include natural gas extraction.
