UNIMOT S.A., an independent gas and liquid fuels distributor has signed an agreement concerning a purchase of 100% of shares in Tradea.

Taking over Tradea is the next step in developing the operation of UNIMOT in the area of electricity trading, which constitutes a new element in the offer of the multiutility Group.

Taking over Tradea fits in the vision of UNIMOT S.A. development, which assumes, among others, an increased activeness of our company on the electricity market” – says Mr Robert Brzozowski, the President of the Board of UNIMOT S.A. „Last December we acquired EnergoGas, which has already started selling electricity to individual clients. Now, so as to supplement our offer we have invested into Tradea, which sells electricity both to business and individual clients and concludes transactions on the wholesale market mainly through exchange and brokerage platforms” – adds Mr Brzozowski.

Tradea Sp. z o.o. was established in 2010. The Company possesses concessions for electricity trading (OEE). Company’s operations concentrate on the three areas: electricity wholesale, selling electricity to final recipients and rendering additional services for the electricity market. In 2015 electricity sales of Tradea reached 123 GWh.
