Unimot Aviation, a company that joined the Unimot Group in 2023, is strongly expanding its competences in the aviation fuel industry. It is preparing to launch passenger aviation operations at Kraków-Balice Airport (IATA code KRK) and Katowice-Pyrzowice Airport (IATA code KTW) through its subsidiary Unimot Aviation Services. The company has successfully completed rigorous audits conducted by the Civil Aviation Office (ULC), which confirm compliance with the highest specialized standards.

On December 29, 2023, the company Unimot Aviation Services obtained the Airport Handling Agent Certificate (AHAC). Subsequently, on January 17, 2024, the company received a permit from the Civil Aviation Authority in category 7.1, which concerns the provision of propellants to aircrafts. Thie permit includes the organization and execution of aviation fuel refuelling.

These activities are key steps in expanding the company’s operations and strengthening its market position as an emerging player in the passenger aviation sector in Poland – a country characterized by a well-developed aviation infrastructure, including 14 public airports and over 60 aeroclub airports.

“The resumption of operations in the passenger aviation sector, which is planned for the first quarter of 2024, is another step towards the diversification of our activities. This will allow us to offer more comprehensive services for the aviation industry in Poland. The experience of Unimot Aviation in the distribution of JET A aviation fuel, based on the established market position of the multi-energy Unimot Group, is  a solid foundation for providing best quality services” – says Adam Sikorski, President of the Management Board of Unimot.

In August 2021, the company then operating under the name Partner4Sky, having obtained all necessary permits and licenses, carried out first refuelling at the airports in Kraków and Katowice. In January 2022, the company suspended its operations in the passenger aviation sector and focused on increasing the sales of JET A aviation fuel outside airports subject to inspection by the Civil Aviation Office. Unimot Aviation was established in a result of acquiring 75% of shares of Partner4Sky by the Unimot Group in April 2023. Until now, the company has focused on selling aviation fuel to companies and individuals who own helicopters or light aircrafts under the Swiss brand AVIA, which the Unimot Group has been developing on the Polish market since 2017.

Unimot Aviation is equipped with a refuelling vehicle with the capability of dosing additives, thus allowing for providing refuelling services with JP8 fuel. In addition, the company collaborates with entities using JET A 1 kerosene-type fuel in technological processes or rendering aircraft engine services.
