Unimot Group publishes its ESG Report for 2022

The Unimot Group, a Warsaw Stock Exchange-listed independent fuel and energy company, has released its second ESG Report. The Report includes a summary of actions and outcomes in the three major responsibility areas of corporate governance, social responsibility, and the environment. The preparation and publication of the non-financial report fulfils one of the Group’s obligations under the ESG Strategy.

This publication is Unimot Group’s second ESG report, and relates to the period between 1^st January 2022 and 31^st December 2022. The information contained therein concerns the Group’s impact on the natural environment, the social environment, and provides detailed information on the governance area. Although the company is not obliged to submit non-financial statements, subsequent reports will be published on an annual basis. The Report is based upon the GRI Standards. In the coming years, the Group intends to increase the list of indicators.

We have been operating our business activities in a socially responsible and sustainable manner since the company’s formation. The accomplishment of the goals outlined in the ESG Strategy, which was adopted in early 2022, served as evidence of our dedication to these crucial issues. We successfully launched sustainability initiatives last year, and the actions we took supported the balanced development of every area relevant to the environment, society, and corporate governance. “The report presents our approach to managing ESG issues and the detailed description of the achievement of our goals” – says Adam Sikorski, President of the Management Board of Unimot.

The Report contains the information important to investors, regulatory authorities, employees and counterparties and includes, inter alia, the European Commission’s guidance on non-financial disclosure related to climate impacts, the guidance from the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosure (TCFD), ESG factors, or environmental, social, and corporate governance factors, as well as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which have been identified as strategically crucial for the Unimot Group.
