According to the agreement concluded in December 2018 UNIMOT sold the business of LPG cylinders to GASPOL. The company in return for payment transferred to GASPOL the rights and liabilities under the contracts with the customers of liquefied gas in cylinders and part of assets related to this business.

The process of taking over customers covered the period from March until June 2019 – The decision on selling the business of LPG cylinders resulted directly from our strategy which assumes concentration on the areas of highest profitability and growth potential – states Mr Adam Sikorski, President of the Management Board of UNIMOT. – In our opinion this part of the market is already well developed and a significant growth of margins will be determined primarily by intense acquisitions. However, our goal is to focus on other, more promising for us areas of the LPG business, first of all the wholesale trade – adds Mr Sikorski.

– We have decided to purchase a part of the assets of UNIMOT in the area of filling the cylinders with liquefied gas, so as to strengthen our market position in the south of Poland. I am glad that many customers of UNIMOT have decided to cooperate with us – said Mr Sylwester Śmigiel, President of the Management Board of GASPOL SA.

In 2018 UNIMOT sold about 4 thousand tonnes of LPG in cylinders, which generated almost PLN 11 million of revenues. The number of sold 11 kg cylinders amounted to 360 thousand of pieces. UNIMOT sold cylinders in the form of wholesale as well as sales points located in: Zawadzkie, Częstochowa, Świdnica, Niwnica and Jordanów.
